Last month we were lucky enough to be invited to chocolate Neil's guests at his 40th Birthday Bash. The theme was "Venetian Masked Ball" and it was held at the Willowbank hotel in Fallowfield, Manchester.

There were some amazing costumes and Neil outshone them all in his jazzy gold tights and splendid mask! There we met Sarah, a friend and colleague of the birthday boy who was capturing the event with her camera. Sarah is the brain child of Warrington Photography who cover all aspects of photographic work. Kindly Sarah sent over a disc for us to remember the fun had be all at the chocolate. Thanks Sarah! xx

Marsha had a butterfly themed Christening which was held at 13 The Warehouse on Queen Street In Morecambe. Proud Mummy Hayley who runs the wonderful Boutique Townhouse on Thornton Road also in Morecambe kindly shared these fab images captured by her friend and professional photographer Nicola Albon.

Cupcakes can have dual purpose as strawberry lipstick and pretty pink hats!

The cupcake tower was designed to compliment the invitations made by Faye from 13 The Warehouse who used buttons as embellishments on each. The invites were actually shapes like butterflies too.

Cupcakes at Bartle Hall

On my first visit to Bartle Hall near Preston I made Laura and Oliver Wellock some funky brightly designed cupcakes in orange and fuscia. David Millington of Contemporary Weddings kindly shared his fabulous images of the cakes. David is based in Garstang and has photographed all of the amazing venues we have in the North West area. There is greater detail about is wonderful work on his site.

Reya’s Christening, St Michaels nr. Garstang

Here we have Reya who is the gorgeous little girl of one of my best friends Carole. I think she likes her cupcake or at least the icing sugar! A lovely day for the family with beginning with the service at St Michael's Church and then a Hog Roast at The Grapes just around the corner. My only regret is that we couldn't stay to join in the celebrations due to another cupcake wedding tower requiring delivery.

Reya's cupcakes were pink and lilac and each had a little paper lollipop "R" tied at the base with contrasting ribbon.

Aaahh, proud Mum and Nan at either side. Sorry again Carole for not being able to stay!

The Great Hall at Mains, Singleton Nr. Poulton le Fylde

The great hall at Mains is a spectacular wedding venue with beautiful grounds for photos and a "Dream Team" of event planning specialists its known as the best on the Fylde Coast.

This Thursday Moira and Darren were married there and I made them some cupcakes for their sweetie buffet table.

I'm really looking forward to working with Love Scrub I think my customers are going to be in for a real treat.

At the wedding of Anna & Tony earlier this month at the Midland Hotel we met with Phil from Tall Order Photography. He's kindly sharing some images with us of the chocolate fountain which was set up in the fabulous sun terrace with breath taking views over Morecambe Bay. I will post these when they are ready!

I've always had difficulty in the past trying to explain to people why I think our service is superior to other fountain providers. I do know why it is, it's just difficult to explain to "non-foodies"! After six or so years of chocolating party people, Phil hit the nail on the head on his review of Madam Chocolat on his blog by saying "The lovely people at Madam Chocolat are something special in the world of Chocolate Fountain Hire, they bake!" are there you have it, that's the difference WE BAKE........thanks Phil! THE REVIEW

Yay, I’m close to home this weekend!

It's fab to work in weddings and parties and you get to go to places sometimes you'd never imagine you would. Sometimes though it is really nice to do a batch of bookings on the doorstep! This weekend I started with a 60th birthday party at the Midland Hotel in Morecambe. As you may probably know, I really love going to the Midland and am now becoming friends with the staff there. Vicky the wedding and events manager is great. Her mum has Dotty's Vintage on Albert Road in the West End of Morecambe, doubly great!

Anyway, the next wedding was a pretty tower of cupcakes in red and white. The celebration was held at the Vale of Lune Rugby Club on Powder House Lane in Lancaster. You would never have known where you were after stepping inside the marquee like room with white draped fabric on the walls and potted plants dotted around complete with red and white balloons. Zoe had requested 150 cakes with alternating red and white glittery sugar butterflies.

On to Castle Green, Kendal in the evening and a glorious sunny day for all Saturdays events! Paul and Hollie booked a chocolate foundue for their reception in Castle Green's Kendal Suite. We go to Castle Green quite often and I do recommend it highly. The staff and food are second to none, it's always a real pleasure to go there. Lorraine from Bowness Wedding Photography has captured some great "chocolate shots" so I will look forward to posting them when they are ready.

And finally my first visit to the Sun Cafe in Lancaster who were hosting a wedding breakfast for 40. I will definitely be visiting this quirky little Italian Cafe again it was great. My job today was a cupcake tower in cream toffee gold and ivory with sugar pearls. It was lovely to meet Enzo there who is proprietor and Head Chef. Looking forward to going back!

Monday, day off getting ready to bake for the shop at the Plaza Arcade in Morecambe. Pop in! xx

The Bridal House in Torrisholme

The Bridal House in Torrishlome has been open for one year, they celebrated the birthday with an open weekend. The new Amanda Wyatt collection was in store, the first UK premesis to show these stunning gowns. Kerry, owner of the shop invited me to bring along some cupcakes for the birthday which was a massive success. Lots of happy girls trying on dresses and falling in love with them was great to whitness! So This coming Saturday the shop's full up again with appointments.....cupcakes are needed!!
